Tutorial Video (Quick Introduction)

The five Forecasting Calculators are located under the Forecasting tab.

These calculators utilize estimates to perform performance calculations, each featuring 11 different valuation lines with clickable points for each quarter in the fiscal year. The five Forecasting Calculators include:

  1. Estimates

  2. Normal Multiple

  3. LT Growth

  4. Historical CAGR

  5. Custom

Estimates Calculator

The Estimates Calculator is the default option when accessing the Forecasting tab. It can display up to three years of estimates, identical to those found on the Historical Graph.

How Fair Value is displayed

Displayed as a thick solid orange line, its multiple is based on the estimated growth of the chosen metric.

Other calculation lines, drawn from the same estimates but with different multiples, are also displayed. These multiples are visible on the right side of the graph.

Below the Graph:

Current Data

  • Metric: The last actual number followed by estimates for the selected metric.

  • Chg/Yr: Percent change per year.

  • # of Analysts: The number of analysts making estimates for each year (more analysts generally indicate more reliable estimates).

  • Dividends: The last actual dividend followed by dividend estimates.

Previous Estimates

  • Previous estimates to identify trends in analysts’ projections.

Normal Multiple Calculator

The Normal Multiple Calculator is the second option under the Forecasting tab. It displays up to three years of estimates, the same as those on the Historical Graph.

Fair Valuation Line: Displayed as a thick solid blue line, it represents the Normal PE applied to the Historical Graph, defaulting to a 5-year historical Normal PE. Users can change this using the drop-down at the top of the graph.

Other calculation lines, drawn from the same estimates but with different multiples, are displayed, and these multiples are shown on the right side of the graph.

LT Growth Calculator

The LT Growth Calculator, the third forecasting tool under the Forecasting tab, displays up to five years of trendline growth estimates from analysts.

Fair Valuation Line: Displayed as a thick solid orange line, its multiple is based on the estimated trendline growth of the selected metric. Other calculation lines are drawn around it from the same estimates but with different multiples, visible on the right side of the graph.

Below the Graph:

  • The last actual number followed by estimates for the selected metric (calculated based on the estimated trendline growth rate).

  • Percent change per year (consistent across the bottom since the graph shows a trendline growth estimate).

  • Number of analysts making estimates for each year.

  • The last actual dividend followed by dividend estimates grown at the LT growth rate.

Historical CAGR Calculator

The Historical Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) Calculator is the fourth forecasting tool under the Forecasting tab, displaying up to five years of estimates calculated using a company's Historical CAGR.

Fair Valuation Line: Displayed as a thick solid orange line, its multiple is based on the selected Historical CAGR, defaulting to a 5-year Historical CAGR. Users can change this using the drop-down at the top of the graph. Other calculation lines, drawn from the same estimates calculated from the selected Historical CAGR but with different multiples, are displayed on the right side of the graph.

Below the Graph:

  • The last actual number followed by estimates for the selected metric (calculated based on the selected Historical CAGR).

  • Percent change per year (consistent across the bottom since the graph applies the same Historical CAGR to each fiscal year estimate).

  • Number of analysts making estimates for each year (always shown as N/A since these estimates are calculated using the selected Historical CAGR, not by analysts).

  • The last actual dividend followed by dividend estimates.

Custom Calculator

The Custom Forecasting Calculator is the fifth and final tool available on FAST Graphs, allowing users to enter their own numbers for personalized scenarios. It extends up to five years using trendline estimates as the default but can blend 3-5-year trendline estimates with individual Estimates for a varied outlook.

Custom Features:

  • A custom valuation multiple can be added and changed in the box to the right of the graph where all multiples are displayed.

  • Most numbers below the calculator can be adjusted to input custom estimates and dividend estimates for further analysis customization.

  • Users can input their custom growth rate to experiment with different growth scenarios for the selected metric.

To reset everything back to default, click the "RESET ALL" button.
